What might seem like simple economic activity is, in truth, a story of life, resilience, and tradition. One where digital tools meet ancestral knowledge to build a fairer future. This project had the goal of integrating rural reality and technology in the most humane way possible.

  5. Interledger Ambassador: Ayden FĆ©rdeline

    Ayden FĆ©rdeline conducted a hybrid research and community-building initiative to advance the Foundation's mission and vision. The project will organize regular educational events that convene members of the United Nations Internet Governance Forum Dynamic Coalition on Digital Financial Inclusion to explore topics central to financial inclusion, interoperability, and open payment systems. This initiative supports community engagement, knowledge sharing, and sustained collaboration among stakeholders working to advance accessible and equitable digital financial infrastructure.

    The main issue with the adoption of the technology is that it is build through the Western Gaze, meaning that a more mainstream adoption of the technology will come through searching for the groups that develop for different demographics. I hope to accomplish more awareness and adoption of Web Monitization and Interledger technology within the mainstream domain.

  8. Story Synth ā€“ Web Monetization for Storytelling Games and Community Grants for Game Designers

    Story Synth is an open source web platform for making, playing, and sharing storytelling games. It supports a variety of game types inspired by tabletop roleplaying games. This project would add new Web Monetization features to the Story Synth game platform and grow its community engagement and user base through a microgrant program awarding $300 grants to game designers from marginalized backgrounds.
