The company is developing a payment streaming platform called Paystreme that enables users to pay in real-time for services. Users can send payments per second as they consume services such as cell phone coverage, broadband internet, pay TV, and content streaming platforms.

One of the significant current gaps in the ILP network is access to local African Nodes with the ability to use a Tier 1 ILP capable wallet on the African continent and other Global South countries like South East - Asia, and South America. Snake Nation plans to develop a Tier 1 ILPv4 Network through its University Society Network as a foundationalĀ solution to an open payment system,Ā a key pillar of Africa 4.0 ( 4th Industrial revolution).

    The People's Clearinghouse is a social innovation project to benefit the broader public, specifically rural and indigenous people who have organized themselves into co-ops. Millions of co-op account holders have been historically excluded from the Mexican payment system. As a result they must deal with time-consuming and risky travel to access their money in cash. This project intends to research how the clearinghouse can be a successful connector for small rural co-ops of Mexico to the Mexican central bank and among themselves using the Interledger Protocol.

    The main issue with the adoption of the technology is that it is build through the Western Gaze, meaning that a more mainstream adoption of the technology will come through searching for the groups that develop for different demographics.     In our increasingly digitized society, online spaces are oftentimes owned ā€“ or exploited ā€“ by large tech companies that seem to disconnect from shared public values. We have become largely dependent on their digital services, and digital platform or content creators are bound to their terms. The standard is ā€˜freeā€™ platforms built on advertisement income. In other words, the rights of users are violated by exploiting their personal data. These disruptive changes in our socio-economic landscape demand research into new financial models that are based on public values.

    Snake Nation is a social media platform with a digital wallet & VNM, our Stellar based(XLM) utility token. Platform members are incentivized for their content engagement in VNM. We are building an ILP Capable VNM Wallet that allows for creative publishers to collect/stream Web Money and e-commerce to their VNM Wallet. The VNM token is meant to streamline and reduce the friction that exists on the current global payment systems, which in emerging markets, marginalizes most of our members when it comes to receiving their earnings. Having the ILP wallet integrated into the app allows for enhanced wallet functionality including the ability to make P2P payments, cross-border payments, withdrawals, top-ups, and contactless payments in any currency.
